Hi there! If you’ve been following my work or my Instagram, you’ll find my book Além do Like fascinating. It’s an in-depth report on the aesthetic pressures women face in the age of social media, originally published in Brazil by Senac (2025).

The book explores how modern beauty standards, amplified by social media, affect women’s body image, self-esteem, and everyday decisions. From filters to “perfect” bodies constantly showcased online, women of all shapes and ages are pressured to compare themselves, and often feel dissatisfied.
Through real stories and expert insights, the book combines interviews with women —actresses, former models, YouTubers, influencers, and everyday women — with interviews with nutritionists, psychologists, and body image specialists. It also draws on research into self-esteem, mental health, and social media culture.
In its updated edition, the book examines historical beauty ideals, diet culture, mental health implications, and the ways AI and social media algorithms shape how we see ourselves.
In addition to writing, I also give talks based on the book, focusing on media literacy and critical analysis of how women are represented in media today. These sessions encourage reflection and discussion, helping participants question social pressures and develop a more conscious relationship with online content.
My goal is to encourage reflection, offer tools for self-awareness, and help women feel freer from external pressures — so they can make choices based on their own motivations, not societal expectations.
Whether you’re curious about media influence, body image, or cultural trends, this work provides a thoughtful look at the challenges women face online today.
